Pneumatic Blasting ll Airless / Centrifugal Blast System

Pneumatic Blasting
There are 3 basic systems in Pneumatic Blasting :

PRESSURE SYSTEM

Here the abrasive is fed from a pressurised vessel to the blast hose through a metering valve. The metered abrasive alongwith pressurised air is projected at high velocities through a nozzle to clean the surface to the desired finish.

Air blast equipment is used world wide in a variety of application from offshore marine, general and civil engineering industrial blast rooms, to stone and masonary cleaning and glass etching.

SIPHON SYSTEM

The Siphon system is based on the principle of vacuum. In this system, vacuum is created by an incoming jet of air within the blast gun. The abrasive is thus picked up and projected on to the workpiece through the blast nozzle.

This process is commonly used for Die and Mould cleaning and cleaning of delicate components.

AQUA BLAST

Can be operated by both siphon or through a high pressure pump. An abrasive slurry is projected through a nozzle onto the workpiece to achive the desired finish.

Airless / Centrifugal Blast System
Airless Blast systems are possible with the help of turbine wheels. These wheels are in sizes of 200 Ø, 300 Ø, 400 Ø & 500 Ø and are driven by electric motors from 5 hp to 60 hp and from 3200 RPM to 2440 RPM. Abrasive throwing capacity varies from 90 kgs/min to 600 kgs/min.

Airless blast systems are popular, economical and high production machines for the various industries from casting, forgings, pipes, structural & plates to railway wagons & freight containers.
