PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION-AIR RECIRCULATION OVENS The heat exchanger is located within the oven carcase, normally at high level, adjacent to the recirculating fan. The fan forces air from the heat exchanger down through the in-built side ducts and discharges into the hot zone of the oven. This air then rises and is collected at high level by a return air duct system which passes the air back to the heat exchanger and the recirculatimng fan. OVEN CONSTRUCTION The oven is designed to be free standing and is normally delivered completely assembled. A fully welded fram forms the basis of the unit with soft tape seals attached to ensure air tightness with the external insulated panels. EXPLOSION PANELS In accordance with relevent legislation,
disintegration type, explosion relief panels are fitted at suitable positions.
In the top of the oven; the fan, heat exchanger, natural vent stack and air replacement louvre are fitted to the internal frame. Unless otherwise specified, the natural vent stack terminates with a suitable size blast gate. Interconnecting ductwork for external venting is not included. DOORS For both Box and conveyorised Ovens, the doors are sized to customer requirements. SILHOUETTES Silhouettes are provided for Conveyorised Ovens for the entrance and exit of components. Powered heat seals are offered as an option to minimise heat loss. CIRCULATING FAN A circulating fan, normally located at high level, is incorporated within the oven carcase and is designed to deliver a specific air volume. The fan unit is a plug type, passing through the insulated body of the oven and has the drive externally in free air; the impeller and fan casing being inside. The complete unit can be removed easily for maintenance. AIR CIRCULATION Within the oven, a series of ducts
are provided to distribute the air to the working hot zone. Special provision
is made to ensure the correct temperature is achieved and maintained with
the inlet ports for recirculating air arranged in the side walls.
